The Probationer need not be concerned with the many diverse and intricate systems of the Qabalah and the eventual wisdom and insight attained from them.  

*      Better to begin with a simple list of numbers. Numbers that are formula and equation and symbol and truth and a method to fully understanding attainment as it transpires.

*      Better to begin with a simple list of numbers. Numbers that tell a story in the mere reading of the list of numbers. Numbers that will allow the perception of the interconnected nature of the universe to become visible, possibly even tangible. Possibly.

*      Better to begin with a simple list of numbers. Numbers that form formula, and mixed and matched create more formula, and added, divided, or multiplied, create more formula. Formula that is correct on every level.

*      Better to begin with a simple list of numbers. Numbers of the many wondrous systems but not tied to them, allowing the wondrous systems to be comprehended without the binding of any-one-thing to any-other-thing, thereby creating bias.

The lists that follow contain a few useful numbers with references, which can and will be expanded and added to ad infinitum. All areas of Qabalistic study should begin small and simple, but will inevitable continue to grow in size and complexity. So much so that upon reaching the grade of Adept, the size, scope, and refinement of the work is such that most of the knowledge would be lost on the lower grades.

Let then the first list created by the Probationer be comprised of a simple inventory of selected numbers and some obvious definitions, designations, classifications, or characterizations. The Probationer will compose a master list only after a thorough review of the instructions following the lists.

The first unmanifested form is NU, the Circumference nowhere found. The second unmanifested form is HAD existing within the circumference and everywhere the Center. Last, the form RA-HOOR-KHU, which is all Motion within the circumference from its center.

1    Unity 
Instantaneous and complete – adding nothing  – removing nothing – not increasing – not decreasing.

2     Duality 
Division instigates continuous expansion. Division is death. Death is life. Life is chaos. Chaos is change. Change is Stability. 

3     Triad / Trinity
The triad contains three components, in perfect balance, necessary for the continuation of all things.

The discernible forms: the goddess NUIT who is more than all substance within the boundless circumference, and who represents the female or feminine side of the equation; HADIT who is the male or masculine side of the equation. When these two forces exist together, as they do in this universe, their union causes the manifestation of all things through the form of RA-HOOR-KHUT. A different way of examining this is to consider Matter + Energy = Motion.

 4     Quaternary
Examining the components and their interaction in the triad (trinity, triangle and cycle), there are always four possible components and four potential modes of interaction.

 The interaction of the components in any form can be examined by looking at the physical environment. In turn, we can understand the physical environment by examining the components.

5     Microcosm 
First it is necessary to examine the division of the Macrocosm and the Microcosm. Let us remember that, "every man and every woman is a star." Let us also consider that every man and every woman is a microcosm, and in every microcosm, there is an identical essence of the macrocosm mirrored in each other, and that there is only one macrocosm and that macrocosm is the universe. 

6     Macrocosm 
The Macrocosm breathes to experience every permutation and it is through the mirror, the Microcosm, that the body understands the soul.  

7     Perfection
Perception without division is the only attainment to that perfect state of one, which exists nowhere else. 

8     Chaos 
The disordered state of unformed matter and infinite space having existed before the ordered universe. 

9     Stability
The ordering of chaos by critical calculation achieved by the examination of the:

10   Foundation
Every possibility of the Conceptualized Universe in juxtaposition with 22. 

11   Extension
The uniting of the Microcosm and the Macrocosm by addition (5 + 6).

The formula of the triad, representing the interior of the triangle, as opposed to the three boundaries.

22   Existence 
Every possibility of the Physical Universe in juxtaposition with 10. 

32   Completion
Physical Universe conjoined with Conceptualized Universe (22 + 10).

The twenty-two paths on the Tree of Life, the Major Arcana (also called Trumps) numbered 0 -21, and the twenty-two letters of the Hebrew Alphabet.

The number of cards in the tarot deck that are not Trumps.

The seventy-two Goetic Spirits are the divisions of the one name into the personalities.
