The Girl From Granville

By Frater Valak

Sunshine eyes,
Sparkle through her reflection
In the stream that flows eternal.

Clear crystal gaze,
That sees an everpresent light
In a world swallowed in the darkness.

Smile in hiding
Looking for the smallest excuse
To break free in its expression;
Sending out an
All-encompassing flow
Of contagious good spirits,
Enveloping all in a warm
Blanket of laughter,
A courteous smile, a shy,
Winsome twist of her lips.

Soft breath sighing,
Passion as she conveys the excitement
Of the latest discovered beauty
In the perception of her universe –
Bitter defeat a boat
Unable to stand the gale of elan
In the face of her creative force,
Breaking apart in the surf
E’en as the clouds are rent asunder
Before the might of the tidal flux
Of the waxing silver disc.
The seed of exhalation,
Bringing forth an inspiration,
A crest upon a wave
That teems with possibility,
Endless in direction,
Abundant as the creatures
Of the sea beneath it.
O Dolphin, how mighty in thine ocean,
Coursing through the firmament
Timeless, ageless, continuous.
A solemn cry, a spoken word.

Knowing nothing,
Feeling All. Path without restriction,
Joy in the journey, joy in the goal.

Dancing on the surface,
Racing with the dusk at hand,
In peace complete, a moonrise on its way.

Chasing the day
To a wondrous display of many hued skies
In the reflection of her sunshine eyes.
